What Would You Rather Have a JV or a HumVee? - Part I

Well, the most sensible answer would be a JV, or Joint Venture, because once you've found a great Joint Venture partner, you'll be able to buy as many HumVee's, or any other cars that you want, with the income that the JV can produce.

You see, there are three ways that you can go about finding potential customers online; you can rent a list from a broker, you can spend lots of time building your own list, or you can borrow somebody else's list.

The first way is very hit and miss and it does cost you money to rent these lists. List renters really don't know if they're lists are any good for the most part because they don't keep them up to date. A list that was good a year ago may be useless now because the people on the list have moved or decided that they are no longer interested in whatever they were a year earlier.

The second way is a lot better. You create your own lists by having people subscribe to your email newsletter or blog; however, to do this takes time……….lots of time. All the time you're building your list, you aren't making many sales. Let's face it, time is really all any of us has, about 50 or so PRODUCTIVE years from about age 18 to 68 maybe, so you should spend that time productively.

So that leaves borrowing your list or, Joint Venturing with somebody who has already spent the time, money and effort on creating their own list. These lists are usually of much higher quality because they are people who are CURRENTLY buying products, similar to the one that you want to sell, whether it's an eBook, a seminar, an audio series or a Video Tutorial.

But how do you go about finding a partner? There are two good ways; the first is simply going to the internet-marketer's own website, and using the 'Contact Us' link. There are plenty of marketers out there and simply typing into a search-engine 'Internet Marketer' or 'Internet Guru' will bring you plenty of result.

The second way is to go to a JV partnership site, such as JVnotifyPro. You can use a search-engine to find plenty of others. Here, you will find people who WANT to JV with you, but beware, most are people who don't have large lists. The really big names in Internet Marketing don't have to use these sites any more.

And when you have one that you decide would be great, how do you persuade her to JV with YOU?

Well, people with great lists don't want to spam the people on their list with poor quality products; they are extremely protective of them; these are, after all, the source of their income. These list owners get hundreds of requests every week from people who want to Joint Venture with them; guess what they do with most requests? Yep, they simply ignore them!

You see, they, like you, probably don't have the time to look at all of these requests. But, they DO want to make money by promoting great products. So, you need to make YOUR offer to them stand out.

How do you do this? Well, firstly you must grab your prospective partner's attention (or partners, because you will want to send your email proposition to several internet marketers). Don't use a headline like "JV offer". Would YOU open that email? I doubt it. Rather, put in the subject line something more like "Personal question" or "Can you help me?".
